About John Pond, J.P.

After a career as a pioneer in Australian television as senior producer of thousands of hours of shows on Australian and American television, including Graham Kennedy, Tommy Leonetti, People in Conflict, Hollywood Bowl, Major Specials and Dr John‘s Casebook TV Shows.  He worked for the world’s two largest Advertising agencies as TV manager and as head of production for Columbia Pictures TV.  John changed careers to the hospitality industry working for Sydney’s top 5 star hotel as director of sales and marketing and GM.  Then with Harrah’s/ Caesars Palce, the world’s largest hotel and casino group in the USA.

Later as VP at Playboy in Chicago head office he ran worldwide marketing and PR, for their Resorts, Hotels and Casinos.  Then on to a producers job at Fox Studios in Los Angeles. John was co-creator of hit US network  TV show Joker, Joker, Joker, the first TV show to give away a million dollars.

He wrote travel articles for magazines and newspapers including Washington Post, New York Times, American Playboy and local Australian papers and magazines. In the USA and Australia he has represented many  personalities including Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, Bob Hope, Mel Torme, Dianna Ross, Lee Majors and many more.  Not wanting to retire, John is Editor at Sea of a leading cruise magazine and many travel related web sites, newspapers and magazines.  John travels the world on cruise ships and reviews 5 star hotels and resorts  internationally.John is assisted by his Associate Editor Sandra Tiltman.
